MobInfo2 adds detailed data to mob tooltips: health pool, damage dealt, accumulated drop stats and item drop chances. On the WowX5 x5 server, where you kill hundreds of mobs while farming, it helps you pick the most rewarding targets.
What MobInfo2 does
- Mob health and damage — real values in the tooltip, not percentages.
- Drop statistics — which items dropped from this mob type and at what rate.
- Kill tracking — how many times you killed a mob, gold and XP gained.
- Target value — an estimate of how profitable a mob is to farm.
- Data accumulates as you play and persists between sessions.
Before farming a resource, run the zone for ten minutes — MobInfo2 collects drop stats so you can see which mobs actually drop the item you need.
Installing MobInfo2
Addons in WoW Classic are installed manually by copying a folder. For MobInfo2: 1. Download the addon for the 1.12.1 (Vanilla) client, not Era/Retail. 2. Unzip it. Inside there should be a MobInfo2 folder with a .toc file. 3. Copy the folder into <WoW folder>/Interface/AddOns/. 4. Launch WoW, click "AddOns" at the bottom-left of the character screen. 5. Make sure the addon is listed and checked, then log in.

Tuning for x5 rates
Farming on x5 means mass-killing mobs for gold and materials. MobInfo2 tells you which pack is more profitable by gold/drops, so you farm efficient targets instead of wasting time on empty mobs.
Compatibility and combos
The addon works well with:
MobInfo2 drop stats are observed, not server-side. On few kills the rates are inaccurate; trust the numbers after hundreds of kills.
Common problems and fixes
No data in the tooltip: Make sure MobInfo2 is enabled and you hovered a mob, not an NPC.
Drop rates look wrong: It's your kill statistics — on a small sample it's approximate.
Tooltip too large: Disable unneeded data lines in /mi2.
