How to obtain
Crafted by alchemists from high-level herbs, sold on the auction house in stacks. Because the buff survives death, one oil lasts a whole raid night — excellent value.
x5 tip: Apply the oil before entering the instance and refresh once per hour. On x5 fights are shorter but the raid night is long — keep 2–3 oils in your bags.
Who needs it and where
Every caster DPS wants Brilliant Wizard Oil: Mages, Warlocks, Elemental Shamans, Balance Druids, Shadow Priests. It does not conflict with elixirs (separate weapon-enchant slot), so it stacks with Flask of Supreme Power or battle+guardian elixirs.
How it compares
Healers use Brilliant Mana Oil instead. Tanks and melee use sharpening stones.

Can I combine it with a damage elixir?
