Raid Consumables in WoW Classic: Elixirs, Potions, Flasks

Vanilla WoW Classic 1.12 · x5 realm · wowx5.ru

Consumables decide a raid as much as gear does. The right elixirs, potions and food raise damage and survivability by tens of percent. On WoW x5 reagents pile up faster, so there's no reason to walk into Molten Core or BWL bare. Here's what to bring by role.

Baseline for every role

  • Healing and mana potions (Major Healing/Mana) — 5–10 in your bags.
  • Food buff — Well Fed on the right stat (see Cooking).
  • Weapon and armor enchants — the most underrated boost.
  • Runn Tum Tuber / Nightfin Soup for healers on intellect/spirit.

Tanks prioritise armor and health; on strong magic bosses add resistance.

Melee (Warrior, Rogue, Enhance, Feral)

  • Elixir of the Mongoose (+25 agi, +2% crit) — the base battle elixir.
  • Elixir of Giants (+25 str) or R.O.I.D.S. — for strength.
  • Winterfall Firewater (+35 AP) — cheap buff, drops on death.
  • Juju Power (+30 str) / Juju Might (+40 AP) — from Zul'Farrak.
  • Grilled Squid / Blessed Sunfruit — agility/strength food.
  • Sharpening stones and oils on weapons (Elemental/Dense Sharpening Stone).

Ranged & casters (Mage, Warlock, Shadow Priest, Boomkin)

  • Flask of Supreme Power (+150 spell damage, 2 h, survives death) — top for progression.
  • Greater Arcane Elixir (+35 spell damage) — cheaper than a flask.
  • Elixir of Greater Firepower / Frost Power — per school.
  • Nightfin Soup / Runn Tum Tuber — spirit/intellect food.
  • Zanza's Potent Potion / Elixir of the Sages — universal stats.

Healers (Priest, Druid, Paladin, Resto Shaman)

  • Flask of Distilled Wisdom (+65 max mana, 2 h) — steady mana pool.
  • Elixir of Wisdom / Mageblood Potion — mana regen.
  • Major Mana Potion + Dark/Demonic Rune — in-combat recovery.
  • Nightfin Soup — +8 mp5.

Flask or two elixirs?

A flask lasts 2 hours and survives death, but needs Black Lotus and is pricey. Two elixirs (battle + guardian) are often stronger combined and cheaper, but drop on a wipe. Rule: elixirs on farm bosses, flasks on progression and long raids (AQ40, Naxxramas).

Совет

Keep a dedicated "raid bag" and refill it after each run. A guild bank with reagents and an alchemist saves the whole team gold.

Conclusion

Good consumables + world buffs + enchants = a raid that clears bosses on speed. Build a set for your role, level Alchemy and dive into WoW Classic X5 raids.

FAQ

Which consumables are mandatory for a WoW Classic raid?

At minimum: a battle elixir and a guardian elixir (or a flask), a food buff for the right stat, healing/mana potions, and ideally gear enchants. Tanks want armor and defense elixirs, DPS want attack power and crit, healers want spirit and mana.

Flask or two elixirs — which is better?

A flask lasts 2 hours and survives death — ideal for long raids like AQ40 and Naxxramas, but expensive (needs Black Lotus). Two elixirs (battle + guardian) are cheaper and often stronger combined, but drop on death. Use elixirs on farm bosses, flasks on progression.

Where do you get consumables on an x5 server?

Brew them via Alchemy, buy on the auction house, or order from guild alchemists. On x5 rep and gold accrue faster, so stockpiling reagents and Black Lotus is easier than on classic rates.
