Rallying Cry of the Dragonslayer is one of the key world buffs in WoW Vanilla. The entire capital zone receives it when a player turns in a raid dragon's head to the faction leader. On an x5 server it is a staple of serious progression prep.

What it grants

Effect	Value
Attack Power	+140
Melee/ranged crit	+5%
Spell crit	+10%
All resistances	+10
Duration	2 hours

The crit and attack power make Rallying Cry the best world buff for physical DPS, while the spell crit is prized by casters and healers.

Where to get it

The dragon head is looted in raids and turned in to an NPC at the capital gate:

Alliance — turn in the Head of Onyxia or Head of Nefarian in Stormwind; a major at the gate reads the speech.
Horde — heads are turned in at Orgrimmar. The Horde additionally receives Warchief's Blessing.

At turn-in the buff covers everyone near the NPC, so the turn-in is announced in world chat in advance and a crowd gathers to catch it.

Using it on x5

Grab the buff right before the raid: 2 hours covers travel and the first bosses.
The buff drops on death — do not die to trash or world mobs on the way.
Stack it with Warchief's Blessing, Songflower Serenade and the Dire Maul tribute buffs for a huge boost.
