Stormwind City is the greatest Human city and the flagship capital of the Alliance in WoW Classic. Many players begin their journey here, and return after raids and dungeons. On WowX5 x5 server, Stormwind is the busiest trade hub — largest Auction House, the Bank, trainers for all Alliance professions and classes.
The Stormwind and Ironforge auction houses are one shared market. Post items wherever is convenient — both cities' players see the same listings.

The Stormwind Gates are the grand arches in southern Elwynn Forest. Human characters begin inside the city; other Alliance races travel in from their starting areas.

Cathedral Square
Home to Paladins and Priests. The Cathedral of Light is here, along with quest givers and alchemy reagent vendors.
Old Town
Rogues and Warriors call this district home. SI:7 agents and their questlines are here too.
Mage Quarter
Mage and Warlock trainers. High-level Mages offer portals to capital cities from here.
The Park
A quiet elven district with Hunter and Druid trainers — a slice of Teldrassil inside the Human city.
