Nordrassil
Vanilla WoW Classic 1.12 · x5 realm · wowx5.ruNordrassil, which means "Crown of the Heavens," is the first World Tree of Azeroth, growing atop Mount Hyjal. It became the symbol of the night elves and the source of their power for ten thousand years.
A gift of the Aspects
After the War of the Ancients, the surviving water of the Well of Eternity was carried to Hyjal, where a new lake of magic arose. Above it the three Dragon Aspects raised the Tree and each blessed it in their own way.
Three blessings
Alexstrasza, the Life-Binder, gave the elves health and immortality through the Tree. Ysera bound them in spirit to the Emerald Dream. Nozdormu, the Timeless One, strengthened the Tree so it would endure through the ages. In return, the elves vowed to guard the world.
The sacrifice at Hyjal
When Archimonde led the Legion to Hyjal to consume the Tree's power, the night elves turned that power against him. A surge of Nordrassil's energy and the spirits of nature immolated the demon. But the cost was great: the Tree was spent, and the elves began to lose their immortality.
