Keeper of the Emerald Dream
Ysera spends most of her existence in a trance, wandering the Emerald Dream and guarding the balance of all living things. For her ever-lidded eyes she is called the Dreamer, yet her sight reaches the farthest corners of nature.
Bond with the Night Elves
Ysera is closely tied to the night elves and the demigod Cenarius. Through the Emerald Dream druids enter their trance, and the green flight has for ages helped Kalimdor's guardians protect the wilds.
The Shadow of the Nightmare
A corruption crept into the green flight and the Dream itself — the Emerald Nightmare. It twisted four mighty green dragons who once served Ysera, turning them into raging monsters dangerous to any traveler.
Dragons of Nightmare in Vanilla
In WoW Classic Ysera's legacy takes form as the Dragons of Nightmare — four world bosses that roam near the Emerald Dream portals in Azeroth's forests. To slay them is to cleanse a small part of the Dreamer's domain from the Nightmare's taint.
The Dreamer and Her Druids
Through the Emerald Dream, Ysera is bound to every druid of Azeroth: it is there their spirits go during the long slumber. While the Dreamer watches, the wilds keep their balance, and the Nightmare's corruptions become a shared concern of dragons and grove-keepers alike.
On the WowX5 Server (x5)
On WowX5 x5 the lore comes alive in game: Deathwing's black flight waits in Blackwing Lair and on Onyxia, while the green flight roams among the Dragons of Nightmare.
