Wind serpents are soaring, snake-like creatures with membranous wings that dwell in the warm southern lands of Azeroth. Among the birds of Azeroth they are unique in that they attack not with claws but with a bolt of lightning breathed straight at their prey.
The wind serpent is the only hunter pet with a ranged attack. It breathes lightning at its target, which makes it a prized companion for a ranged playstyle.
