Feralas: Quests, Farming, and Dire Maul
Vanilla WoW Classic 1.12 · x5 realm · wowx5.ruFeralas is a vast, densely forested zone in southwestern Kalimdor, home to ancient elven ruins, massive ogres, and some of the best mid-level farming in WoW Classic 1.12.1. Recommended level range: 40–50. On WoW x5, the five-fold experience rate means you'll move through quests efficiently — but the zone still rewards thorough exploration.

Feathermoon Stronghold is only accessible by ferry from the western dock. Alliance players: grab the flight path on the island immediately to save future travel time.
Alliance Quests
Alliance players quest out of Feathermoon Stronghold:
- The Ruins of Ravenwind — Scout elven ruins, kill harpies. Good XP chain.
- The Ogres of Feralas — Assault Gordunni ogre camps
- Doling Justice — Kill Gordunni elders and mages
- The High Wilderness — Exploration chain leading toward Dire Maul
Pick up all quests at Feathermoon before heading inland — several chains share the same objectives and can be completed simultaneously. Efficient routing is key even at x5 rates.
Horde Quests
Horde players work out of Camp Mojache:
- The Ogres of Feralas — Same ogre camps as Alliance chain
- Rage of the Wildseeds — Kill treants around the Ruins of Isildien
- The Bait for Lar'korwi — Devilsaur quest chain (connects to Un'Goro)
- Dark Heart — Collect items from the Twin Colossals area
Farming Spots
Gordunni Ogres
The Gordunni camps in central-north Feralas are excellent for humanoid farming: Mageweave Cloth, greens, and Ogre Tannin (used in a Dire Maul West quest). Good for tailors and pre-raid gear hunters.
Isle of Dread (Naga)
The island off the southern coast is packed with Naga mobs:
- Mageweave Cloth
- Naga Scales (vendor/craft)
- Decent green item drop rate
Watch for Dreadscale rare elites patrolling the Isle of Dread — they can ambush solo players who aren't paying attention.
Dire Maul
Dire Maul is a three-wing dungeon in the heart of Feralas, accessible at level 55+:
