Felwood: Zone Guide Level 48–55
◆Overview
Felwood is a dark, Fel-tainted forest in northwestern Kalimdor for characters levels 48–55. Once a beautiful druidic woodland, it is now saturated with the Burning Legion's corruption. Trees rot, animals mutate, and Deadwood furbolgs maintain camps throughout. The zone is important for two reasons: it is one of the richest sources of endgame herbs (Dreamfoil, Golden Sansam), and it is a key hub for Timbermaw Hold reputation — a neutral faction that unlocks passage between Felwood, Winterspring, and Moonglade.

Quest Hubs
Emerald Sanctuary (Neutral) — small ranger camp in the center. Several quests on cleansing fel corruption and killing satyrs. Open to both factions.
Bloodvenom Post (Horde) — Horde camp in the west. Resource collection quests and Deadwood furbolg kill quests.
Timbermaw Hold — neutral fortification in the center. Allied bear-men (not Deadwood) live here, offering quests and accepting repeatable reputation turn-ins.
Key quest chains:
- Purified Felblossom — chain to cleanse Fel-tainted flowers. Leads through multiple Felwood locations and into Winterspring.
- Timbermaw Hold Reputation — repeatable grind of Deadwood Furbolg (Felwood) and Winterfall Furbolg (Winterspring). Friendly→Honored→Revered→Exalted unlocks unique items.
- Jaedenar — quest series clearing the dark satyr camp in northern Felwood. Recommended for level 52+.
Tips for WoW x5
Felwood is the ideal zone for Herbalists. A clockwise route along the western coast and central area yields 15–20 Dreamfoil per loop. On x5 rates you can farm a full stack of endgame herbs in an hour for raid flasks. See the professions guide.
Timbermaw Hold reputation is sped up by double farming: Deadwood in Felwood and Winterfall in Winterspring. On x5, Honored takes about 1–1.5 hours. Exalted takes longer, but the Timbermaw ring is worthwhile for several classes.
Toxic Horrors in northern Felwood are elite mobs with poison AOE attacks. Avoid them without solid level 52+ gear — they aggro in large packs and can easily kill a solo player.
