Dun Morogh: Dwarf and Gnome Starting Zone (Levels 1–10)
Vanilla WoW Classic 1.12 · x5 realm · wowx5.ruOverview
Dun Morogh is a snow-covered highland region in the northern part of the Eastern Kingdoms, and the ancestral home of both Dwarves and Gnomes. Characters of these races begin their journey in Coldridge Valley, a sheltered starter enclave beneath the great peaks. The zone spans levels 1 through 10 and is designed to introduce players to WoW's core loop of questing, gathering, and combat. On the x5 server, experience rates are five times higher than on a standard Vanilla server, meaning you can clear Dun Morogh's content in just a couple of hours while still picking up useful gear and profession levels along the way.

Quests and Quest Hubs
Coldridge Valley is the very first hub for Dwarf characters. It hosts tutorial quests against troggs and trolls, as well as basic gathering tasks. NPCs Sten Stoutarm and Durnan Furcutter kick off the introductory quest chains.
Kharanos is the main village at the center of the zone. Quests here send you after Frostmane Trolls, leopards, and bears, and introduce the first reputation quests tied to Gnomeregan. The inn here offers a rest bonus, which stacks nicely with the x5 rate.
Gnomeregan Entrance — a handful of pre-quests are available near the dungeon entrance. The dungeon itself is for levels 24–33, but grabbing the quests early means you will be ready the moment you reach that bracket.
Ironforge — while technically outside Dun Morogh, the gates of Ironforge are accessed from here. Several quest chains require a trip inside to hand in reputation items.
Notable chain: The Trogg Problem — a multi-step series from Mountaineer Cobbleflint, concluding with a strong uncommon item reward and good XP for the final turn-in.
Tips for WoW x5
With x5 rates, you will blast through Dun Morogh in 3–4 hours at most. Use that time to focus on professions: Mining can reach 50+ and Herbalism 40+ before you ever leave the zone, giving you a major head start in Loch Modan and beyond.
Dwarf Warriors and Paladins shine in Dun Morogh — the racial ability Stoneform counters the poison debuffs from certain mobs in the zone. Read more about the class on the Warrior page.
Do not linger past level 10 — quests will go grey and stop yielding experience. Move on to Loch Modan as soon as you hit the cap for this zone.
