  • Players use water buckets to extinguish the flames
  • After saving the village — a fight with the Horseman himself

Masks and Costumes

One of the most popular elements of Hallow's End is masks of other races and classes. There are 24 unique masks in total: every Alliance and Horde race. Masks drop randomly from event rewards.

A mask can be worn over regular armor — it is a purely cosmetic item with no level requirements.

The History of Hallow's End in WoW Lore

Hallow's End has its roots in the history of the Undead and the Scourge. According to lore it was on this day that the Forsaken Undead broke free from Arthas's control. This is a holiday of freedom for the Forsaken although other races joined in for their own reasons.

The Headless Horseman is a reference to the classic horror image. In Warcraft he is a fallen knight cursed to wander headless and terrorize villages every autumn.

Tips for Efficient Farming

To make the most of Hallow's End plan your city route in advance. Pick up the "Trick or Treat" quest from the first Inspector you see and complete it in parallel with other activities. Most event rewards can be obtained in 2–3 days of regular play without needing to log in all 14 days in a row.
