Dire Maul is a large level 55-60 dungeon set in the ruins of the ancient night elf city of Eldre'Thalas. It is split into three wings with separate entrances: West (the gardens), North (Gordok Commons) and East (Warpwood Quarter). Players come here for pre-raid BiS gear, tome drops and the famous Tribute Run. First you need to reach Feralas.

Where Dire Maul is

The ruins of Eldre'Thalas stand in the center of Feralas, a forested zone in western Kalimdor. The three entrance portals sit close together at the heart of the ruins. Feralas borders Thousand Needles to the east.

How to reach Feralas

On foot it is easiest to enter from the east, out of Thousand Needles: the road leads west straight into Feralas.

By flight is fastest if the point is open:

  • Alliance: the Feathermoon Stronghold flight path on the western coast, plus Thalanaar on the eastern border.
  • Horde: the Camp Mojache flight path in the southeast of the zone.

From any hub head to the central ruins — the three wing entrances are visible on the zone map.
