How to Get to Maraudon
Maraudon is a large natural dungeon for levels 46-55 deep in Kalimdor, overrun by centaur and earth elementals. It has two crystal entrances and a branching layout: waterfall caverns, poison marshes and the ancient altar of Princess Theradras. Players come here for early epic weapons, alchemy recipes and Cenarion Circle reputation. First you need to reach Desolace and the right crystal.
◆Where Maraudon is
The entrances are hidden deep in a canyon in western Desolace, an arid zone in western Kalimdor. The gorge is guarded by the Maraudine centaur; at its end glow two crystal portals.
◆How to reach Desolace
Alliance: the nearest flight path is Nijel's Point in the northeast of Desolace. Fly in and head southwest to the canyon.
Horde: the Shadowprey Village flight path on the southwestern coast. From here head north-east to the canyon — it is close by.
On foot you enter Desolace from the north out of Stonetalon Mountains through the Charred Vale pass, or from Feralas to the south. Details are in how to get to Desolace.
The two entrances — where to go
| Entrance | Where it leads |
|---|---|
| Orange crystal | Wicked Grotto, the short side |
| Purple crystal | Earth Song Falls, path to the bosses |
| Full clear | Start from purple → Princess Theradras |
Tip: on x5 Maraudon is popular for farm and recipes. For a full boss and loot breakdown see the Maraudon dungeon page.

For a full clear to Princess Theradras, enter through the purple crystal — the orange one only leads to a short wing. On x5 groups often farm the short side for quick sets and save the full run for quests and Cenarion Circle reputation.
