Razorfen Downs is a level 35-45 dungeon in southern Thousand Needles. It is the thorn mound next to the Kraul, but here the Scourge and a lich have pushed the quilboar aside. Here is how to get there.

Where Razorfen Downs is

The entrance is in the south of Thousand Needles, right on the Barrens border, near the Razorfen Kraul entrance. It is the second great thorn mound — an ancient quilboar burial ground raised by the undead.

How to get there

Horde:

  1. Arrive at Freewind Post — the Horde flight point in Thousand Needles.
  2. Head south to the thorn mounds; Razorfen Downs sits beside the Kraul.

Alliance:

  1. Reach Thousand Needles from Dustwallow Marsh or via the Barrens.
  2. Move to the southern thorn mounds; look for the entrance next to the Kraul.

What is inside

  • Bosses: Tuten'kash, Mordresh Fire Eye, Glutton, Ragglesnout, Death Speaker Jargba, Amnennar the Coldbringer.
  • Lots of Scourge undead and quilboar; anti-undead spells and mass interrupts help.
  • Valuable level 40-45 loot and Dungeon Set 1 pieces; on x5 groups form easily.

Do not confuse the two mounds: the Kraul (25-35) and the Downs (35-45) sit side by side but are different instances for different levels. Check the name on the gate before you call a group.
