How to Get to Moonglade: Horde and Alliance Routes
Moonglade is a peaceful neutral zone in northern Kalimdor, home of the Cenarion Circle and the druid village of Nighthaven. Players come here for druid class quests, the Lunar Festival and Cenarion Circle lore. There is no direct road from the capitals: the only overland route runs through the Timbermaw Hold tunnel. Below are step-by-step routes for the Horde and for the Alliance.
Contents
◆Where Moonglade is
The zone sits in the mountains between Felwood to the west and Winterspring to the east. It has no roads of its own: from its southwestern corner starts the Timbermaw furbolg tunnel, which links three zones inside the mountain — Felwood, Moonglade and Winterspring.

◆For the Horde
- Start in Orgrimmar or Thunder Bluff. If you already have the Bloodvenom Post flight point in Felwood, fly there and skip to step 4.
- On foot: head into the Barrens and go north to the Ashenvale border at Mor'shan Rampart.
- Cross Ashenvale (Splintertree Post is a Horde flight point) north into Felwood. Grab the Bloodvenom Post flight point in the west of the zone for next time.
- Follow the Felwood road to the northeast of the zone, where the entrance to Timbermaw Hold is.
- Inside the tunnel take the branch that climbs upward: it exits into southwestern Moonglade. Follow the path to Nighthaven.
◆For the Alliance
- Start in Darnassus. If you already have the Talonbranch Glade flight point in northern Felwood, fly there from Rut'theran Village and skip to step 4.
- Take the portal down to Rut'theran Village and the boat to Auberdine in Darkshore. Players from the Eastern Kingdoms sail to Auberdine from Menethil Harbor.
- Travel south through Darkshore into Ashenvale (Astranaar has a flight point), then northeast into Felwood. Grab the Talonbranch Glade flight point in the north of the zone.
- From Talonbranch Glade the entrance to Timbermaw Hold in northeastern Felwood is close by.
- Inside the tunnel take the branch to Moonglade — it exits into the southwest of the zone, and a path leads on to Nighthaven.
Timbermaw Hold reputation
The Timbermaw furbolgs guard the tunnel and start out hostile to you. To pass without a fight you need at least Unfriendly. It is quick to earn by killing Deadwood furbolgs in southern Felwood or Winterfall furbolgs in Winterspring — see the Timbermaw reputation guide. The tunnel is meant for characters around level 48+: a low-level hero without reputation should stay away.

◆The druid teleport — the fastest way
Druids learn Teleport: Moonglade from their trainer at level 10. It has a 10 second cast, costs 120 mana, has no cooldown or reagent, and takes you straight to Nighthaven from anywhere in the world. Nighthaven also has druid-only flight masters that fly night elf druids to Rut'theran Village and tauren druids to Thunder Bluff for free.
◆Flights from Moonglade
In southwestern Moonglade, by the tunnel exit, stand the faction flight masters Faustron (Horde) and Sindrayl (Alliance). Open the point on your first visit and you can fly here from your own hubs later. More travel tricks are in the general travel guide.
◆What to do in Moonglade
- Druid class quests (bear form, aquatic form and more).
- The seasonal Lunar Festival and the Elders.
- Quests and lore of the Cenarion Circle.
