How to Get to Onyxia's Lair
Onyxia's Lair is a 40-player level 60 raid where you fight the black dragon Onyxia. Many players are looking not so much for tactics as for the entrance itself: it is hidden in a cave in Dustwallow Marsh, and you can only enter with the attunement. Let us cover both — how to reach the entrance and what you need to get inside.

Where the entrance is
The entrance is a cave in Dustwallow Marsh, in the south of the zone, in the Wyrmbog (roughly 52, 76). From outside it is an unremarkable opening in the rock; the portal inside only activates if you have the attunement.
Attunement: the Drakefire Amulet
Reaching the cave is not enough. To enter you need the Drakefire Amulet, the reward from the long "Drakefire" quest chain:
- Alliance: the chain starts at Morgan's Vigil in the Burning Steppes and runs through Stormwind and Dustwallow Marsh.
- Horde: the chain starts in Kargath in the Badlands and continues in Desolace and Orgrimmar.

◆How to reach Dustwallow Marsh
Horde:
- From Orgrimmar head into the Barrens.
- Take the south-eastern road past the Shady Rest Inn into Dustwallow Marsh; the Horde hub is Brackenwall Village.
Alliance:
- Take the boat from Menethil Harbor (Wetlands) to Theramore Isle in Dustwallow Marsh.
- From Theramore head south-west into the Wyrmbog in the south of the zone.
From either hub, make for the cave in the Wyrmbog in the south of the marsh.

After the kill, Onyxia's head is turned in at your capital and grants a temporary buff to the whole city and raid. On x5 raids form faster than usual, so decide in advance who will take the head and carry it to Orgrimmar or Stormwind for the shared stat bonus.
