Stratholme is a level 58-60 endgame dungeon in northeastern Eastern Plaguelands. Its key feature is the two entrances into different wings, and newcomers often confuse where to go. Here are both.

Where Stratholme is

The ruined city stands in the northeastern corner of Eastern Plaguelands. A road leads to it from the south; the approach is blighted land with elite Scourge patrols.

The two entrances

  • Main gate (live side) — the large front entrance to the city, run by the Scarlet Crusade; the wing ends at Grand Crusader Dathrohan / Balnazzar.
  • Service Gate (dead side) — a separate side door. This is the domain of the Scourge and Baron Rivendare, home of the famous timed run for Rivendare's Deathcharger.

How to get there

Horde and Alliance:

  1. Reach Eastern Plaguelands (Horde via Tirisfal and the Plaguelands; Alliance via Chillwind Camp from Western Plaguelands).
  2. Head northeast to the ruins of Stratholme.
  3. Pick the right door: the main gate for the live side, the Service Gate for the dead side.

What is inside

  • Bosses: Baron Rivendare, Baroness Anastari, Maleki the Pallid, Ramstein the Gorger, Timmy the Cruel, Balnazzar and more.
  • A source of Dungeon Set 1, Argent Dawn reputation and the Baron's mount (a rare drop on the run).
  • On x5 the city is farmed for loot, reputation and the mount.

For the Baron's mount go through the Service Gate (dead side) and beat the timed run: once the event starts you have a window to reach Baron Rivendare and save the townsfolk, which opens the chance at Rivendare's Deathcharger.
