Ragefire Chasm is the very first Horde dungeon, aimed at levels 13-18. Its big advantage is that the entrance is right in the capital — no travel needed. Here is exactly where to find it.

Where Ragefire Chasm is

The entrance is in the Cleft of Shadow, a dark crater in the center of Orgrimmar, between the Valley of Wisdom and the Valley of Spirits. Descend into the crater: warlock and rogue trainers stand there, and a smoking pit in the middle is the instance entrance.

How to get there

Horde:

  1. Arrive in Orgrimmar (the capital in Durotar — by boat from Dustwallow Marsh or by zeppelin).
  2. Move to the center of the city and descend into the Cleft of Shadow.
  3. Find the smoking pit in the cave floor — that is the entrance to Ragefire Chasm.

Alliance: the entrance is inside the enemy capital, so reaching it without dying is practically impossible — this is a Horde dungeon.

What is inside

  • Bosses: Oggleflint, Taragaman the Hungerer, Jergosh the Invoker, Bazzalan.
  • Inside are Searing Blade cultists and fire elementals.
  • Horde leaders offer intro quests rewarding level 15-18 gear; a great starting point on x5.
