Gnomeregan is a level 24-40 dungeon: the gnome capital overrun by troggs and radiation in the northwest of Dun Morogh. Gnome newcomers come here for their home city, and everyone else for early gear, engineering recipes and the traitor boss Mekgineer Thermaplugg. Inside are many machines, traps and shaft-like levels, which makes the dungeon a little maze-like. First you need to reach northwest Dun Morogh.

Where Gnomeregan is

The entrance lies in the northwest of Dun Morogh — the snowy dwarf and gnome starting zone — by the refugee settlement of New Tinkertown. Dun Morogh connects to Ironforge by tunnel.

How to get there

Alliance: from Ironforge or Kharanos, follow the road northwest across Dun Morogh. It leads to New Tinkertown, from where the city entrance is visible.

Horde: there is no direct flight path and the trip is long. Reach Loch Modan, then take the tunnel into Dun Morogh and head west to New Tinkertown. It is easier to form a group and enter together, avoiding the Ironforge guards.

Tip: on x5 Gnomeregan clears fast, and engineers farm early schematics here. For a full boss and loot breakdown see the Gnomeregan dungeon page.

Совет

There are two ways in: the main elevator and a back route through the Grime-Encrusted Ring/Workshop opened by an engineering quest. On x5 groups usually take the main path, but knowing the back door saves time on repeat runs for Thermaplugg.
