How to Get to Goldshire in WoW 1.12.1
How to get to Goldshire is a question every human player asks around level 5, once the quests in Northshire Valley run out. Goldshire is the main village of Elwynn Forest and a crossroads between Stormwind, Westfall and the Redridge Mountains. With the boosted experience on WoW x5 you will get here very quickly, so here is the route for both factions.

Where Goldshire is located
Goldshire sits right in the middle of Elwynn Forest, the human starting zone in the Eastern Kingdoms. Stormwind lies to the northwest of the village, Northshire Abbey to the northeast, the western road leads to Westfall and the eastern road to the Redridge Mountains. The recommended level is 5–10. South of the village you will find Fargodeep Mine, the Maclure Vineyards and the Stonefield Farm, and Crystal Lake lies to the east.
How to get there as Alliance
From Northshire Valley
- Turn in your starting quests at Northshire Abbey.
- Leave the valley along the road heading southwest — it runs down out of the gorge into Elwynn Forest.
- At the fork keep to the western road: within a few minutes the houses of Goldshire come into view. More on your first steps in the human starting guide.
From Stormwind
- Leave Stormwind through the main gate into the Valley of Heroes.
- Follow the road south and turn southeast at the fork — the signposts point straight to Goldshire.

How to get there as Horde
For the Horde Goldshire is an enemy village, visited only as a raid target on a PvP server.
- Take the zeppelin to Grom'gol Base Camp in Stranglethorn Vale.
- Head north through Duskwood to its northern border.
- The road leads into Elwynn Forest, and from there Goldshire is just a short ride away.

What you will find in Goldshire
The heart of the village is the Lion's Pride Inn. Innkeeper Farley binds your Hearthstone here. The inn itself and the neighbouring buildings host trainers for almost every human class: warriors, paladins, mages, priests, rogues and warlocks. The village smithy is where you can learn blacksmithing.
Marshal Dughan stands by the road — he is responsible for the safety of the area and hands out the first village quests. There is also a mailbox, weapon and armor vendors, and food and goods merchants inside the inn.

What to do around Goldshire

No. In patch 1.12.1 Goldshire has no flight master of its own. The nearest one is in Stormwind, a few minutes walk north along the road.
