Feralas Leveling 40–50 — WoW Classic x5 Guide

Vanilla WoW Classic 1.12 · x5 realm · wowx5.ru

Feralas is a humid jungle in western Kalimdor with the elven Feathermoon Stronghold, the tauren Camp Mojache and the ruins of Dire Maul. A 40–50 contested zone holding one of the best late-leveling dungeons in the game.

Feralas is a model 40–50 zone: lots of quests, compact spots and Dire Maul right in the center. Alliance holds the island Feathermoon Stronghold, the Horde holds Camp Mojache, and both push to 50 quickly.

Level Range and How to Get There

The recommended range is level 40–50. Alliance reaches it via Feathermoon Stronghold, the Horde via Camp Mojache. On the x5 server leveling is faster than classic, so grab hub quests in a batch and don't stretch the zone out.

Quest Hubs and Chains

Hubs: Feathermoon Stronghold on the western isle (Alliance — flight, boat, bank) and Camp Mojache in the center (Horde — tauren, dozens of quests). Neutral Thalanaar in the east links the zone to Thousand Needles.

Where to Level

Below are compact leveling spots in ascending order. Keep icons out of the table — text only, so cells don't break.

Ruins of Isildien42–46Undead and spirits, a quest chain and good XP
Camp Ataya (Grimtotem)44–48Grimtotem tauren, money and reputation

Elites

The Gordunni ogres at Feral Scar and lone ruin elites take 2–3 players. The main group content is Dire Maul, whose entrance is ringed by elite ogres.

Nearby Dungeons

The zone's center holds the entrance to Dire Maul, a three-wing complex for levels 55–60. It's one of the best late-leveling dungeons: Tribute Run, book buffs and strong loot. Clear Feralas by quest, then form a group right there.

Tips for the x5 Server

  • Woodpaw gnolls give steady 40–44 XP and are a shared quest target for both hubs.
  • Around 48–50 build reputation at Feral Scar — it helps for Dire Maul.
  • On x5 don't skip the Feathermoon/Mojache chain — big XP that walks you across the zone.
  • With a group of 5, run Dire Maul: the Tribute Run beats open farming.
  • Leatherworkers get thick leather off raptors; herbalists find Goldthorn and Stranglekelp in the jungle.

Where to Go Next

After 50 move to Un'Goro Crater (48–55), Tanaris (40–50) or the Hinterlands (40–50). From there it's a straight road to Silithus and Winterspring by 55–60.

In Short

Feralas is a solid 40–50 zone for both factions: dense quest hubs, compact spots and a clear path onward. Quest through it, finish the spots and move to the next zone with no downtime.

The optimal range is 40–50. Pick up hub quests early so you don't backtrack; on x5 the zone clears faster than on classic rates.

Is it better for Alliance or Horde?

The zone is contested and both factions have quest hubs. The only difference is the starting town and a couple of chains; XP and spots are shared.
