The 10–20 bracket is your first step beyond the starting zone. Your first dungeons and real quest hubs appear here. On x5 the bracket clears in 3–4 hours.

Alliance Zones 10–20

  • Westfall (10–18) — farmers and the Defias; leads to the Deadmines.
  • Loch Modan (10–18) — Dwarves and Gnomes; the dam and dig sites.
  • Darkshore (10–20) — Night Elves; the coast and Ameth'Aran.
  • Redridge Mountains (15–25) — gnolls and Blackrock orcs.

Horde Zones 10–20

  • The Barrens (10–25) — central hub for all Horde races; the Crossroads and Ratchet.
  • Silverpine Forest (10–20) — Undead; Pyrewood and Ambermill.

Where do I go after the starting zone as Alliance?

Humans and Dwarves head to Westfall and Loch Modan (10–18), Night Elves to Darkshore (10–20). Redridge Mountains opens around level 15.

Where to level 10–20 as Horde?

All Horde races funnel into the Barrens (10–25), the central quest hub. Undead can also use Silverpine Forest (10–20).

When should I do my first dungeon?

Deadmines (Westfall) is ideal at 15–18, Wailing Caverns and Ragefire Chasm at 13–18. On x5 a 20–30 minute run gives a level.
