Hillsbrad Foothills is a legendary contested zone for levels 20–30, known as the cradle of Vanilla world PvP. Southshore (Alliance) and Tarren Mill (Horde) sit almost side by side, and faction clashes here have raged for years. Yetis, murlocs, Durnholde ogres and Syndicate bandits provide a dense quest flow, while proximity to Silverpine makes the zone a handy hub. Level range and how to get there
Range: Levels 20–30. Between Tirisfal/Silverpine (north) and Arathi Highlands (south). The hubs are Southshore (Alliance) and Tarren Mill (Horde), each with an inn and flight path.
Quest hubs and chains
Southshore — the Alliance hub: quests against yetis, murlocs, scouting Tarren Mill and the Azurelode Mine. Tarren Mill — the Horde hub: quests against Southshore's humans and the Syndicate. Chains at Durnholde Keep (ogres and Syndicate) and around the neighbouring Scarlet Monastery. The line between the two towns birthed WoW's most iconic world PvP.

The zone has no dungeon of its own, but neighbouring Tirisfal holds the Scarlet Monastery (26–45) — ideal for this level — and Silverpine to the north holds Shadowfang Keep (22–30, mainly Horde).
