# Duskwood Leveling: 18-30 Alliance Route

Duskwood is a dark, gothic Alliance zone for levels 18–30, south of Redridge. The town of Darkshire, the Raven Hill cemetery, undead, worgen and the elite ghost Mor'Ladim create a dense quest flow and one of Vanilla's best storylines — the Legend of Stalvan. On x5 the zone clears in an evening.

Level range and how to get there

Range: Levels 18–30. South of Redridge and Elwynn. The hub is Darkshire with an inn, trainers and a flight path. The southern road leads to Stranglethorn; the west road to Westfall.

Quest hubs and chains

Darkshire — the main hub: defend against undead, clear the Raven Hill cemetery, quests against spiders and worgen. The iconic Legend of Stalvan chain is a long detective quest with an elite finish. Quests target Mor'Ladim (a roaming elite skeleton) and Abercrombie near the hermit's shack.

Elites and danger spots

The elite skeleton Mor'Ladim roams the roads — killing him needs a group. The Stalvan finale is also elite. In the Twilight Grove sleeps the emerald dragon Twilight Corrupter, a later world-boss target.

Nearby dungeons

The zone has no dungeon of its own, but it is a convenient base to run the Deadmines if skipped and to prepare for the first 30+ instances. The zone runs dry around 28–30.

Leveling tips for x5

  • Turn in quests in batches and return to the hub less often — on x5 experience pours in and running around wastes time.
  • Keep your gear fresh: hit the auction house and an enchanter every 5–7 levels.
  • Carry food, water and bandages — on boosted rates a regen pause noticeably slows your pace.
  • Team up for group and elite quests with passers-by to clear them without needless deaths.
  • Do not over-level: once the zone stops offering yellow quests, move on along the route.

Where to go next

Around 28–30 head to Stranglethorn Vale (30–45) to the south — a large contested zone with masses of quests and the Zul'Gurub entrance.
