Wolves of Azeroth — pack predators of WoW Classic
Vanilla WoW Classic 1.12 · x5 realm · wowx5.ruWolves are the most recognizable predators of Azeroth. They roam the forests and steppes in packs, from Elwynn Forest to snowbound Dun Morogh, and are equally dangerous to newcomers of both factions. Their howl in the night is a familiar sound of the wild lands of WoW Classic on WowX5 x5.
Never strike a lone wolf without judging the pack. These beasts rush to a packmate's aid, and one bite easily becomes a swarm at your throat.
Wolves and worgs
Several breeds of wolf-kind roam Azeroth:
- Forest wolves — ordinary gray predators of woods and foothills.
- Worgs — a large, vicious breed of the Eastern Kingdoms, fiercer and hardier than their kin.
- Dire wolves — massive beasts the orcs tame as war mounts.
Worgs are especially troublesome around Pyrewood Village: its cursed folk turn by night, and their guard beasts terrorize travelers.

Wolves of the Horde
To the orcs a wolf is no mere beast but a kindred spirit. Since their homeland of Draenor the orcs have tamed dire wolves and charged into battle upon them. The Frostwolf clan honors this bond above all, its riders fighting side by side with tamed beasts in the snows of Alterac Valley.
The wolf as a hunter's pet
The wolf is one of the best first hunter pets. Its special ability Furious Howl raises the damage of the whole group, making the wolf a coveted companion in dungeons and while leveling alike. It is easy to tame at low levels.

FAQ
Why are wolves dangerous in WoW Classic
Wolves attack in packs and move quickly, so they easily surround a careless player. One on one they are manageable, but several wolves at once can finish off a low-level character.
What are worgs
Worgs are a large and vicious breed of wolf native to the Eastern Kingdoms. They lurk near villages like Pyrewood in Silverpine Forest and are far more dangerous than common forest wolves.
Why do orcs ride wolves
Wolves have been sacred to the orcs since the days of Draenor. Tamed dire wolves serve the Horde as mounts, and the Frostwolf clan holds this tradition especially dear.
