What Wraiths Are
When a person dies in agony and the soul finds no rest, Scourge necromancy can bind that spirit to the living world. So a wraith is born — an incorporeal silhouette glowing with cold fire, stripped of all but spite. It does not remember its name, only its hatred.
Wraiths glide above the ground, pass through walls, and shrug off ordinary weapons. Their touch freezes the blood and smothers the will: the victim weakens, loses their mind, and becomes easy prey.
