Vol'jin is the chieftain of the Darkspear trolls and a shadow hunter, a master of voodoo and loa magic. Son of the old chief Sen'jin, he led his tribe behind Thrall's Horde after their islands were lost. On WowX5 x5 you can find Vol'jin in the Valley of Spirits in Orgrimmar.
Vol'jin dwells in the Valley of Spirits in the western part of Orgrimmar, the district given to the Darkspear trolls. He is a loyal companion of Warchief Thrall.
Who is Vol'jin
Vol'jin is the son of Sen'jin, chieftain of the jungle trolls of the Darkspear tribe. Unlike the bloodthirsty cannibal Gurubashi and Amani trolls, the Darkspear chose the path of alliance and honor. Vol'jin is a shadow hunter: he wields voodoo curses, the magic of the loa spirits and healing, blending shadow and nature.
When Thrall's Horde landed on the Darkspear islands, the orcs helped the trolls against murlocs and slavers. In gratitude and for survival, the tribe swore itself to the Horde.
The Darkspear within the Horde
After his father was slain by a sea giant, Vol'jin took up the mantle of chieftain. Having lost their home islands, the Darkspear trolls found a new home among the Horde: Thrall gave them a district in Orgrimmar — the Valley of Spirits.
Vol'jin became one of Thrall's closest advisors and the spiritual leader of the Horde's trolls. His shadow hunters and voodoo witch doctors are a vital part of the faction's military and magical might. Vol'jin is perceptive: more than once he has foreseen threats other leaders missed.
