◆Chosen of Elune
Even as a young novice Tyrande was marked by Elune's blessing and rose to High Priestess. Her faith is the source of the healing and battle power for which night elf priestesses are famed.
◆War of the Ancients
Alongside Malfurion and Cenarius, Tyrande fought the Burning Legion in the War of the Ancients. Her courage rallied the kaldorei and helped drive the demons from Azeroth.
◆Leader of the Sentinels
After the Sundering Tyrande founded the Sentinels — the night elves' order of warrior-women riding sabers and nightsabers. For millennia they guarded the forests of Kalimdor while the druids slept.
◆The Third War
When the Legion returned, Tyrande led her people to defend Mount Hyjal beside humans and orcs. The night elves sacrificed their immortality to destroy the avatar of Archimonde with the World Tree's power.
◆Tyrande in the Vanilla era
Because Malfurion dwells in the Emerald Dream, it is Tyrande who rules from Darnassus atop Teldrassil. Alliance players who start as a night elf serve her people.
◆Why this matters
Tyrande embodies the priestess of Elune: her story explains the Moon cult, the role of the Sentinels and why Darnassus remains the night elf stronghold on the server.
