Menethil Harbor — a guide to the Wetlands port
Menethil Harbor is a large human port town in western Wetlands, the main Alliance sea gateway on the Eastern Kingdoms. From here two boats sail to Kalimdor — to Theramore and to Auberdine — so Menethil has become a key transfer for any Alliance traveler.

The port town gives a traveler everything for a long road:

Menethil's main value is two sea routes to Kalimdor. The southern dock is The Lady Mehley to Theramore in Dustwallow Marsh. The far-right dock is The Bravery to Auberdine in Darkshore.

◆The road deeper into the Eastern Kingdoms
By land Menethil links south through Wetlands to Loch Modan, and from there to Ironforge and by tram to Stormwind. So the port ties Kalimdor sea routes to the heart of the Alliance.
The road through Wetlands is infamous for dragonwhelp raids: low-level players should hug the roadside and flight points.
◆Surroundings and dangers
Wetlands is a level 20-30 marsh zone with crocolisks, Bluegill murlocs and dragonwhelps. Menethil itself is guarded, but the shore and marshes around it are dangerous for a newcomer.
The port is handy as a staging point while leveling in Wetlands and Loch Modan, and for moving a character to Kalimdor.
