Wetlands is a sprawling marshy zone in eastern Khaz Modan for players levels 20–30. It sits between Loch Modan (south), Arathi Highlands (north), and connects to Kalimdor via the Menethil Harbor ferry. A key leveling zone for gnomes and dwarves before Arathi.

Menethil Harbor
inv_misc_anchor The zone's main port city. The ferry to Darkshore departs every ~5 minutes — a critical transit route to Kalimdor for Alliance characters.
Gnomeregan
inv_gizmo_bronzeframework The entrance to Gnomeregan dungeon (levels 20–29) is in the northwest. Final boss: Mekgineer Thermaplugg. An iconic Vanilla dungeon filled with gnomish engineering gone wrong.
Dun Modr
A dwarven fortress on the western shore, besieged by Dragonmaw Orcs. Multiple quests involve defending the fort and pushing back the attackers.
Dark Iron Dwarf Camps
South of the zone — hostile Dark Iron Dwarf camps (level 22–27). Useful for quest kills and metal scraps.

- "Siege of Dun Modr" — defend the dwarven stronghold from orcs.
- "Dark Iron Spies" — eliminate Dark Iron scouts.
- "Sailors of Menethil" — smuggling investigation in the harbor.
