Rogue PvE BiS — Best Raid Gear in WoW Classic

Vanilla WoW Classic 1.12 · x5 realm · wowx5.ru

The rogue in WoW Classic X5 raids

The rogue is a steady source of physical damage and the best trap-disarmer in dungeons. In a raid, rogue DPS scales almost linearly with weapons and hit rating. Below is the full BiS path from pre-raid to Naxxramas.

The Devilsaur set (gloves plus leggings) grants +2% hit — by far the cheapest way to approach the cap before raiding. On x5 it takes a couple of farming evenings in Un'Goro Crater.

Tier 2 — Bloodfang (Blackwing Lair)

Bloodfang is one of the strongest sets in Vanilla. The 8/8 bonus (an armour-piercing effect after Backstab) meaningfully raises dagger-build damage.

Raid consumables

  • Elixir of the Mongoose plus Juju Power — the standard pairing.
  • Instant Poison / Deadly Poison on both weapons.
  • Thistle Tea for energy spikes.
  • Grilled Squid or Blessed Sunfruit for stat food.

Tips for WoW Classic X5

1. On x5 the fastest pre-raid route is leatherworking: you craft Devilsaur yourself and depend on nobody's loot rolls. 2. Keep a hit set until you reach the cap — 1% hit beats 20 attack power in a raid. 3. Always run poisons on both weapons; without them a rogue loses a large slice of damage. 4. Builds and rotations live in the rogue talent guide.

FAQ

What is the rogue pre-raid BiS?

The core is Devilsaur Gauntlets and Devilsaur Leggings (leatherworking), the Blackstone Ring from Upper Blackrock Spire, Hand of Justice from Blackrock Depths and the Dal'Rend's sword pair from UBRS.

How much hit does a rogue need?

9% hit is the baseline cap for your main hand, and it is the most valuable stat until you get there. Human sword rogues only need 6% thanks to the racial sword skill bonus.

Daggers or swords for raiding?

Swords (Combat) win in early raid tiers — they require no positional play and are far more forgiving. Daggers only catch up with high-end Ahn'Qiraj and Naxxramas gear.
