Seal of Jin — Melee Ring from Zul'Gurub

Section: Items & gear 2 min read Vanilla 1.12.1 · x5 Updated 04.08.2026

Seal of Jin is one of the best pre-raid melee rings. +20 attack power and +1% crit in one slot is a rare combo of pure damage with no filler stats. It drops from High Priest Thekal in Zul'Gurub. On WowX5 x5 ZG runs are frequent, so reaching this seal is genuinely fast.

Zul'Gurub items sit at the top pre-raid tier: they help close slots before BWL and AQ, and on an x5 server they drop noticeably faster.

Where to Get Seal of Jin

  1. Zul'Gurub — a 20-player raid in Stranglethorn; the seal drops from High Priest Thekal.
  2. Thekal — a three-phase resurrection fight; keep the priests controlled.
  3. Ring slot — the AP+crit combo beats many dungeon alternatives.
  4. Drop: occasional; the ring is Unique, so you can only wear one.
Совет

On WowX5 x5 Zul'Gurub is the ideal source of pre-raid gear: a short raid lockout and faster loot let you close slots in just a few runs. Gather a group every reset.

Who Should Use Seal of Jin

  • Rogue — pure AP and crit scale Sinister Strike/Backstab perfectly.
  • Warrior (Fury/Arms) — a boost to auto-attacks and abilities.
  • Enhancement shaman, feral cat, hunter — a versatile DPS ring.

FAQ

Where does Seal of Jin drop?

Seal of Jin drops from High Priest Thekal in the Zul'Gurub raid (20 players, Stranglethorn Vale). On WowX5 x5 the short weekly ZG lockout and faster mechanics let you farm the raid more often and reach the loot you need sooner.

Who needs Seal of Jin?

Melee DPS: rogues, warriors, Enhancement shamans, feral cats and hunters — a clean attack-power-and-crit combo with no filler.

Is Seal of Jin pre-raid level?

Yes. Zul'Gurub items are top pre-raid and early-raid tier: comparable to level-60 dungeon loot and behind only BWL and AQ gear. A great goal while you prepare for the bigger raids.
