Harbinger of Doom — Trinket from Naxxramas
Harbinger of Doom is a melee DPS trinket in WoW Vanilla, dropping from Kel'Thuzad in Naxxramas. For warriors, rogues and hunters it is one of the best DPS trinkets of the final Classic tier.
Stats
Harbinger of Doom gives a permanent stat bonus plus a strong chance-on-hit effect: a temporary attack power burst. Such a proc is especially valuable for classes with frequent hits, where it triggers more often.
Stats:
- Type: trinket (accessory)
- Permanent bonus: melee stats
- Effect: chance on hit — attack power burst
◆How to obtain
Harbinger of Doom drops only from Kel'Thuzad, so the path to it is a full weekly clear of Naxxramas.
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Source | Kel'Thuzad (Naxxramas) |
| Type | Melee DPS trinket |
| Class | Warrior, Rogue, Hunter |
| Tier | Naxxramas (Vanilla endgame) |
On an x5 server Naxxramas is cleared faster — you can realistically close Harbinger of Doom in a few weeks of farming Kel'Thuzad. Discuss priority among DPS in advance.
◆Who needs it
The trinket is valuable for Fury warriors, rogues and hunters: frequent hits raise the attack power proc rate, giving a clear boost to average DPS. It is an upgrade over AQ40 trinkets.
Farming tactics on x5
How to speed up getting the item:
- Ensure a clean run through every wing of Naxxramas to Kel'Thuzad — without it the drop will not appear.
- Agree on distribution among DPS: warriors, rogues and hunters all want the trinket.
- Until it drops, use AQ40 DPS trinkets (for example high attack power ones) as a stopgap.
Summary
Harbinger of Doom is one of the benchmark DPS trinkets of Vanilla's final tier: the mix of permanent stats and a strong proc makes it a goal for several melee classes. It is worth keeping Naxxramas in the rotation for it.
