Stat priority
Hit 9% (ranged) → Agility → AP → Crit. Ranged weapon DPS is your most important damage source.

A high-DPS ranged weapon is a hunter's top priority (Heartseeker from Scholomance). The Devilsaur Set gives +2% hit. Don't forget the right Aspect and pet (cat/raptor).

Most damage comes from Auto Shot and Aimed/Steady scaling off weapon DPS — a weak bow tanks your whole output.

Cat (Broken Tooth in Tanaris — 1.0 attack speed) for consistent DPS; boar for survivability, owl for debuff.
Does a hunter need the hit cap?
Yes, 9% hit removes shot misses; it's a priority on par with the ranged weapon.
