Kingsfall — Kel'Thuzad's Dagger
Kingsfall is one of the most sought-after main-hand daggers for rogues in WoW Vanilla, dropping from Kel'Thuzad, the final boss of Naxxramas.
Stats
Kingsfall is a fast dagger with high DPS and generous melee stats. Its speed and accuracy make it the ideal main-hand for Combat and Assassination rogues.
Stats:
- Type: dagger, fast speed
- Damage: high DPS
- Bonuses: agility, stamina, attack power, hit
◆How to obtain
Kingsfall drops only from Kel'Thuzad, so the path to it is steady weekly clears of all of Naxxramas up to the final boss.
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Source | Kel'Thuzad (Naxxramas) |
| Type | Dagger (main hand) |
| Class | Rogue, Hunter |
| Tier | Naxxramas (Vanilla endgame) |
On an x5 server Naxxramas clears go faster, so you get more chances to see Kingsfall drop from Kel'Thuzad — arrange loot priority with your raid lead in advance.
◆Who needs it
The dagger is especially valuable for rogues: high main-hand DPS directly boosts Eviscerate, Backstab and white hits. It is a clear upgrade over AQ40 and Blackwing Lair daggers.
Farming tactics on x5
How to speed up getting the item:
- Field a raid that clears every wing of Naxxramas cleanly — without a full run to Kel'Thuzad the dagger will not drop.
- Agree on a loot system (DKP or loot council): competition for a main-hand dagger among rogues is high.
- Until Kingsfall drops, use AQ40 daggers as a stopgap — they keep your DPS respectable.
Summary
Kingsfall is the benchmark main-hand dagger of Vanilla's final tier: high DPS, agility and hit make it a top rogue goal in Naxxramas. Hunting it is a good reason to polish the whole raid.
