Limited Invulnerability Potion

Vanilla WoW Classic 1.12 · x5 realm · wowx5.ru

Limited Invulnerability Potion is the panic defensive consumable of WoW Vanilla. For 6 seconds it grants full immunity to physical damage. Spells still land, so it is best against physical classes.

Who and when

  • PvP: survive a burst from a warrior/rogue/hunter, then finish the kill or wait for a heal.
  • Aggro dump in raids: ride out a few boss hits while the tank taunts back.
  • Kite: buy seconds to break distance without losing health.

How to get it

Brewed by an alchemist around skill 250. Mechanics are in the alchemy guide. On x5 keep a couple for duels and battlegrounds.

x5 tip: remember it is physical-only — against a mage or shadow priest it is near-useless; there you want a Restorative Potion or magic resistance.

Stacking

It does not use an elixir slot: combine it with elixirs, a flask and tank guardian elixirs.

Common mistakes

  • Using it against magic. Immunity is physical-only — a mage or shadow priest goes right through.
  • Waiting too long. 6 seconds is short — drink pre-emptively before the burst, not at the moment of death.
  • Forgetting the cooldown. Afterwards a healing potion is locked for 2 minutes; in PvP that matters.

Bottom line

Limited Invulnerability Potion is a panic consumable against physical burst in PvP and on aggro dumps. Remember it is useless against magic — there you want magic resistance or a Restorative Potion.

Yes, the shared [potion cooldown](/en/wiki/combat-utility-potions) of ~2 minutes — no healing or other potion during that time.
