Flask of the Titans
Vanilla WoW Classic 1.12 · x5 realm · wowx5.ruFlask of the Titans is one of the four legendary flasks in WoW Vanilla and the best defensive consumable for stacking health. It grants +1200 maximum health for 2 hours and, crucially, persists through death — which is why it is prized on raid progression and in PvP. See our raid consumables guide for a full overview.
Effect and stats
The flask raises your health ceiling by 1200 — a serious buffer against burst boss damage and a decisive survivability factor on spike phases. The effect lasts 2 real hours and is not removed on death.
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Effect | +1200 maximum health |
| Duration | 2 hours |
| On death | Persists (not removed) |
| Profession | Alchemy 300 |
| Brew location | Alchemy Lab (Scholomance) |
How to get it
The flask cannot be bought from a vendor — it is brewed by a 300-skill alchemist. The key limitation: all four Classic flasks can only be brewed at the Alchemy Lab, the sole one in the game being inside the Scholomance dungeon. The reagents are rare herbs, so flasks are expensive and usually brewed to order before a raid.
x5 tip: keep 1–2 guild alchemists with the flask recipe and gather herbs in advance via Herbalism. On an accelerated server raids happen more often, so flask consumption is higher too.
Mechanic: elixir slots
Important nuance: a flask occupies both the battle and the guardian elixir slot at once. While any flask is active you cannot also apply regular battle/guardian elixirs (e.g. Elixir of the Mongoose). So a flask is an all-or-nothing choice: strong, but it excludes a two-elixir combo.
Who needs the flask
- Tanks (Protection warrior, bear druid) — raw HP directly boosts survival.
- PvP — in duels and battlegrounds an extra 1200 HP often decides the outcome.
- Progression raids — on early Ragnaros, Nefarian and Naxxramas bosses where damage is unpredictable.
For pure melee DPS a two-elixir combo (see Elixir of the Mongoose) is usually better, but where survivability matters the Flask of the Titans is unmatched.
Practical tips for x5
Brew flasks in batches before raid night and distribute them via the guild bank. Tanks should keep a stock for several attempts — persistence through death makes the flask especially economical on wipe-heavy fights. Pairing "flask + world buffs" gives maximum durability at pull.
