Herbalism in WoW Classic
Vanilla WoW Classic 1.12 · x5 realm · wowx5.ruHerbalism is a gathering profession in WoW Classic for collecting herbs across the world. On the WoW Classic X5 realm (1.12.1, x5 rates) it is a stable income source and the natural pairing for Alchemy: gather your own ingredients without spending gold on the auction house.
Why level Herbalism
Alchemists buy herbs around the clock — auction house demand never dries up. The most valuable herbs are raid consumables: Black Lotus (for flasks), Plaguebloom, Mountain Silversage and Dreamfoil. With x5 rates players reach level 60 and start raiding quickly, so herb demand is high from the first days of the server.
How to level
- 1–50 — Peacebloom and Silverleaf (starter zones).
- 50–100 — Mageroyal and Briarthorn (Westfall, Silverpine).
- 100–150 — Stranglekelp (coastal zones: Hillsbrad Foothills, Wetlands).
- 150–200 — Khadgar's Whisker, Wild Steelbloom (Arathi Highlands, Stranglethorn).
- 200–250 — Fadeleaf, Goldthorn (Swamp of Sorrows, Badlands).
- 250–300 — Sungrass, Blindweed, Plaguebloom (Feralas, EPL, Felwood).
On x5 rates you move through zones quickly and can farm herbs along your quest route — combining with leveling is very convenient.
Best zones to farm at 300
- Winterspring — Ice Cap and Mountain Silversage across the whole zone.
- Silithus — Dreamfoil and Black Lotus, but competition is high.
- Eastern Plaguelands (EPL) — Plaguebloom and Black Lotus; convenient for alchemists.
FAQ

Where do you farm Black Lotus?
Black Lotus is an elite herb found only in high-level zones: Winterspring, Silithus, Eastern Plaguelands and Deadwind Pass. Spawn is limited and competition is high.
