Naxxramas — raid guide

Naxxramas is a 40-player flying necropolis fortress and the final raid of WoW Classic Vanilla on the WoW Classic X5 realm (1.12.1, x5 rates). It is the hardest and most content-rich raid of the era: 4 wings, 15 bosses, Tier 3 and the legendary staff Atiesh.

Attunement and access

Entry requires 3,000 Argent Dawn reputation. Complete quests in Eastern Plaguelands (EPL) and turn in Necrotic Runes to the Inquisitor. On x5 rates the process is significantly faster than on vanilla servers.

Four wings

Naxxramas has 4 wings that can be cleared in any order.

Spider Wing

Anub'Rekhan — scarabs in the vortex; run out when the whirl spawns.
Grand Widow Faerlina — kill worshippers to remove her enrage.
Maexxna — poisons and cocoons; healers keep the whole raid alive.

Plague Wing

Noth the Plaguebringer — skeleton summon phases; caster rotation.
Heigan the Unclean — The Safety Dance; every player moves in sync.
Loatheb — healing is nearly blocked; healers use cooldowns on the timer.

Military Wing

Instructor Razuvious — control understudies via MC; two Priests.
Gothik the Harvester — split raid on the living and dead sides.
Four Horsemen — 4 horsemen simultaneously; strict tank corner rotations.

Abomination Wing

Patchwerk — pure DPS race; three tanks and heavy healing.
Grobbulus — don't stand in the poison cloud; drop injections at the edges.
Gluth — feed zombies while tanking the boss.
Thaddius — polarity (+/-); stand on the correct side.
Kel'Thuzad — final boss; phase 1 with adds, phase 2 with frost bolts and chains.

Loot

Naxxramas drops Tier 3 (9 pieces), fragments of the legendary staff Atiesh (from Kel'Thuzad) and unique epics for all roles. It is the Vanilla endgame pinnacle and the peak of progression on x5.
