Naxxramas — raid guide

Naxxramas is a 40-player flying necropolis fortress and the final raid of WoW Classic Vanilla on the WoW Classic X5 realm (1.12.1, x5 rates). It is the hardest and most content-rich raid of the era: 4 wings, 15 bosses, Tier 3 and the legendary staff Atiesh.

Attunement and access

Entry requires 3,000 Argent Dawn reputation. Complete quests in Eastern Plaguelands (EPL) and turn in Necrotic Runes to the Inquisitor. On x5 rates the process is significantly faster than on vanilla servers.

Four wings

Naxxramas has 4 wings that can be cleared in any order.

Spider Wing

Anub'Rekhan — scarabs and leap; 2 tanks required, OT picks up after each jump.
Grand Widow Faerlina — kill worshippers to remove her enrage.
Maexxna — Web Spray, cocoons; HoT-healers keep tank alive in silence.

Plague Wing

Noth the Plaguebringer — skeleton summon phases; caster rotation.
Heigan the Unclean — The Heigan Dance; entire raid moves through zones 1→4→3→2→1.
Loatheb — healing blocked 17/20 sec; kill spores for +50% crit.

Death Knight Wing

Instructor Razuvious — MC understudies (2 Priests); only MC'd tank survives.
Gothik the Harvester — 20/20 living/dead split; gate opens at 30%.
Four Horsemen — 4 horsemen simultaneously; 8 tanks rotating by mark count.

Abomination Wing

Patchwerk — pure DPS race; MT + 2 hateful-strike tanks (7000+ HP each).
Grobbulus — Mutating Injection; drop clouds at the walls, raid moves in circle.
Gluth — Zombie Chow kiting + Decimate every 105 sec; kiter mandatory.
Thaddius — polarity (+/-); one wrong move = full raid wipe.

Frostwyrm Lair

Sapphiron — 100+ Frost Resistance required; hide behind Ice Blocks.
Kel'Thuzad — final boss; 4-min add phase, then chains and guardian summon at 40%.

Loot

Naxxramas drops Tier 3 (9 pieces), fragments of the legendary staff Atiesh (from Kel'Thuzad) and unique epics for all roles. It is the Vanilla endgame pinnacle and the peak of progression on x5.
