Molten Core Access: the Attunement to the Core Quest
Vanilla WoW Classic 1.12 · x5 realm · wowx5.ruTechnically you can reach Molten Core without attunement — on foot through Blackrock Depths. But the "Attunement to the Core" quest opens a teleport from the dungeon entrance straight to the raid portal, saving huge time every run. On WoW x5 guilds run MC often, so attunement pays off within a couple of raids.
Why bother with attunement
- Teleport to the portal. After the quest, an NPC at the Blackrock Depths entrance teleports the group right to the Molten Core gate.
- Time savings. Without it, the run to the portal is a 15–20 minute jog through all of BRD past mobs.
- Fewer trash wipes. No need to fight through Blackrock packs every week.
The MC portal sits deep in Blackrock Depths near the Molten Span. Attunement simply grants a shortcut to it.
How to complete "Attunement to the Core"
1. Enter Blackrock Depths (BRD). You need a group — a solo run is risky even on x5. 2. Reach the Molten Span — the lava bridge in the far part of the dungeon, near the Molten Core portal. 3. Find the attunement rune (the Anvil) by the portal. 4. Activate the rune — the *Attunement to the Core* quest completes automatically if it's in your log (picked up at the portal). 5. Now a teleport to the MC portal is available at the BRD entrance.

- Do attunement on your first BRD run — and farm pre-raid BiS at the same time (Blackrock drops plenty).
- Make sure all raiders are attuned, not just one "key holder" — otherwise the raid depends on one person.

Where is the Anvil / attunement rune?
