# Plague Wing — Naxxramas
The Plague Wing is Naxxramas's most iconic wing, featuring three distinct mechanics: curse cleansing (Noth), the legendary dance (Heigan), and a DPS race against stacking doom (Loatheb).
Noth the Plaguebringer
Mechanics: Curse of the Plaguebringer (cleanse in 10s or AoE wipes raid), Blink, Raise Skeletal Warriors, Teleport to balcony (add phase ~70s).
Tactic: Tank away from raid. Assign multiple decursers (Decursive addon recommended). Kill skeleton adds fast. Survive two add waves on balcony phase.
Heigan the Unclean — The Dance
The most famous mechanic in vanilla WoW. Floor zones erupt in sequence clockwise.
Tactic:
- Ranged/healers stand at the entrance stairs — always safe.
- Melee follows the safe zone as it rotates. Never stand in an erupting section.
- Tanks keep Heigan in the centre.
One misstep in the dance cascades — the dead player's position blocks the next safe zone. Practice before your first pull.
Loatheb
Mechanics: Inevitable Doom (stacking — 5 stacks = death), Mutating Injection (player explodes, creates slime), Summon Slime.
Tactic: Pure DPS race — kill Loatheb before 5 Doom stacks. Players with Mutating Injection immediately run away from raid. Avoid slime puddles.
