# Spider Wing — Naxxramas
The Spider Wing is typically the first wing raided due to its relatively forgiving mechanics. Three bosses: Anub'Rekhan, Grand Widow Faerlina, and Maexxna.
Anub'Rekhan
Key mechanics: Impale (instant kill spike), Locust Swarm (cone AoE — run from it), Summon Scarabs from corpses.
Tactic: Tank faces boss away from raid. On Locust Swarm — entire raid spreads to walls immediately. Kill adds before they die (scarabs spawn from corpses).
Grand Widow Faerlina
Key mechanics: Web Wrap (random player suspended on ceiling — DPS must free them), Venom Spray (cone — stay behind boss), Carrion Beetles from mob corpses.
Tactic: MT keeps boss in a corner. Assign 2–3 high-DPS "liberators" to instantly free web-wrapped players.
Maexxna
Key mechanics: Web Spray (AoE web at 40 yards), Spiderlings (8 adds every 30s), Poison Bolt Volley.
Tactic: Tank kites Maexxna through the room (clears web). Paladin cleanses poison constantly. AoE DPS kills Spiderlings immediately. Healers stay at max range.
