Four Horsemen

Four Horsemen (of the Apocalypse) — encounter in the Military Quarter of Naxxramas, considered the most technically demanding boss of WoW Classic Vanilla. Defeating four death knights simultaneously is an organizational challenge for any raid.

Step-by-Step Tactics

Mark Rotation

Every ~12 seconds, groups swap position:

`` Example for Korth'azz corner: Sec 0: Tank A in front, Tank B retreated Sec 12: Tank A receives Mark 1 Sec 24: Tank A Mark 2 → Tank B enters, Tank A retreats Sec 36: Tank B Mark 1 Sec 48: Rotate back to Tank A ``

Совет
Tip

Raid leader announces "SWAP NOW" via /rw every 2 marks. Back groups (Blaumeux/Zeliek) kite in a zigzag pattern so marks apply alternately.

Back Horsemen (Blaumeux & Zeliek)

These are ranged bosses — they don't melee, they apply marks to all in range.

Kite tactic: 1. Two players stand near the horseman 2. After 2nd mark — both run away 3. Horseman follows nearest player (slow kite) 4. Stacks fade after 8 seconds 5. Return, await next mark cycle

DPS Priority and Synchronization

Важно

When one horseman dies, the remaining three enrage (+25% damage, +50% speed). DPS must be synchronized — kill within 5–8 seconds of each other!

Recommended kill order: Korth'azz → Mograine → Blaumeux → Zeliek

Four Horsemen is a test of discipline, not just DPS. Master the tactic, rehearse assignments before entering, and victory will follow. Next: Kel'Thuzad.

FAQ

Why is Four Horsemen considered the hardest boss in WoW Classic?

Four Horsemen requires simultaneously controlling 4 bosses in different room corners, precise kiting of mark stacks, and perfect coordination of 4 separate tank groups. One failure in any corner means a wipe.

How many tanks are needed for Four Horsemen?

Minimum 8 tanks (or high-survivability players): 2 per horseman. The front horsemen (Thane/Lady) require true warrior tanks.

What are Marks of the Horsemen?

Marks are debuffs that horsemen apply to nearby players every 12 seconds. Stacks up to 4. At 4 stacks from any mark — instant death. Players must rotate position to shed stacks.
