Ahn'Qiraj: AQ40 and AQ20 — raid guide

◆AQ20 — Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj

A 20-player raid, accessible from level 60. Bosses are easier than BWL but still require teamwork.

• Kurinnaxx — applies Mortal Wound, reducing healing; extra healers needed.
• General Rajaxx — 7 add waves before the boss; clear the troops, then the general.
• Moam — 3 phases; in the second phase no mana — switch to auto-attack and drain energy.
• Buru — eggs explode; lure the boss into an egg to trigger the blast.
• Ayamiss — fires cocoons, stings while flying; kill larvae.
• Ossirian — vulnerability changes with crystals; activate the right crystal in time.

◆AQ40 — Temple of Ahn'Qiraj

A 40-player raid with 9 bosses, including the final C'thun.

• Skeram, Silithid Royalty, Battleguard Sartura — first three wings.
• Fankriss / Viscidus / Princess Huhuran — mid bosses; Huhuran requires 8+

Hunters with Nature Resist Aura.

• Twin Emperors — Vek'lor and Vek'nilash; strict tank rotation required.
• C'thun — final boss; tentacles, stomach phase; one of the hardest in Vanilla.

Loot

AQ20 gives rings and Pre-BiS for many classes. AQ40 drops Tier 2.5 (9 pieces, Helm/Legs from AQ40) and unique weapons. On x5 an AQ20 farm takes ~1 hour, AQ40 takes 3–4 hours.
