Ahn'Qiraj is one of WoW Classic's most iconic endgame locations, encompassing the Silithus zone and two raid instances: Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj (AQ20) and Temple of Ahn'Qiraj (AQ40). On WoWx5 both raids become available after the server-wide Scepter of the Shifting Sands event.
Silithus Zone Overview
Silithus is a desolate level 55–60 zone in central Kalimdor, bordering Thousand Needles and Un'Goro Crater. It is the main source of Cenarion Circle reputation and hosts scarab elites for farming Encrypted Twilight Texts.

Opening the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj
The Gates event requires realm-wide resource collection:

Once complete, the player holding the Scepter of the Shifting Sands rings the Scarab Gong, triggering a 10-hour world PvP event. After that, the gates remain open permanently.

C'Thun Tips
- Phase 1: Rotate away from Eye beam; destroy Eye and Claw Tentacles.
- Phase 2: C'Thun submerges → players get swallowed into stomach → Cluster Tentacles → escape via red beam.
- Enrage: 10-minute soft enrage — high DPS is essential.
- Recommended: 8+ healers, 3+ Warlocks (Soulstones, invisibility for stomach phase).
