Blackwing Lair (BWL) Access: Attunement Guide
Vanilla WoW Classic 1.12 · x5 realm · wowx5.ruBlackwing Lair is Vanilla's second 40-player raid — Nefarian's lair atop Blackrock Mountain. The entrance opens with the Orb of Command, and to use it you need the "Blackhand's Command" quest. On WoW x5 attunement is done in a single UBRS run.
How BWL access works
The raid entrance is physically at the very top of Upper Blackrock Spire (UBRS) — behind the Orb of Command. But the orb won't work on its own: you first complete the "Blackhand's Command" quest, which "binds" you to the orb.
One player activates the orb, opening a nearby portal for the whole group. But if that player logs off, the raid can't enter. Have at least 2–3 people attuned.
Step-by-step chain
1. Enter Upper Blackrock Spire (UBRS) with a group of 10 — see the UBRS guide. 2. Kill the elite dragonkin guards — they drop the starter for the *Blackhand's Command* quest. 3. Take and complete the quest — it leads you to the Orb of Command on the upper UBRS balcony. 4. Use the Orb of Command — a portal to Blackwing Lair opens. 5. Step through — you're in BWL, ready for Razorgore.
