To collect pre-raid gear you need to farm level-60 dungeons efficiently. This guide sets the instance order — from easy to hard — and lists what to grab in each. That way you won't run the same dungeons for nothing.
Route principle
Start with accessible dungeons and gradually move to harder ones. Don't fixate on one instance — grab the key items from each. Exact BiS items for your class are in the BiS lists; a general source overview is in the pre-raid gearing guide.
Stage 1: warm-up (55–60)
- Maraudon — level 48–52 items, nature armor, weapons.
- Sunken Temple — rings, wands, caster and healer items.
- Zul'Farrak — the Sang'thraze blade, shields, trinkets.
Stage 2: blue gear base (60)
- Blackrock Depths — the biggest source: armor, weapons, trinkets (Ironfoe, arena rings). Farm it in parts — the dungeon is huge.
- Stratholme — weapons, trinkets, Argent Dawn reputation, Tier 0.5 quests. Baron run for the mount.
- Scarlet Monastery — quick blues to finish off slots.
Stage 3: top pre-raid (60)
- Lower Blackrock Spire (LBRS) — bracers, weapons, UBRS reagents.
- Upper Blackrock Spire (UBRS) — heads, shoulders, BWL attunement, summon book.
- Dire Maul — DM East library for books and blues, Tribute Run, buffs.

What is Tier 0.5 and where do I get it?
Tier 0.5 is the upgraded dungeon set (Dungeon Set 2). The quest chain begins after collecting Dungeon Set 1 and sends you to Stratholme, BRD and other instances.
