Consumables and pet

1. On x5 cap hit first: below 8% Aimed Shot misses far too often, and it is the most expensive ability in your rotation. 2. Do not invest in melee — carry a melee weapon strictly for its stats. 3. Ranged or melee weapon for a hunter?
The ranged weapon decides almost everything: hunter raid damage comes from shots, and the melee weapon is carried purely for its stats. Always prioritise the best bow or gun you can get.
How much hit rating does a hunter need?
8% hit is the baseline cap for shots against bosses. Below that, hit beats both agility and attack power, because a missed shot is entirely wasted.
Giantstalker or Dragonstalker?
Dragonstalker (Tier 2) is clearly stronger — more stats and a useful dodge bonus. Most hunters run three to five Giantstalker pieces for the intermediate bonus and replace them through Blackwing Lair.
