It is earned by the player who completes the Scepter of the Shifting Sands chain and rings the Scarab Gong to open the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj. The mount comes with the legendary Scarab Lord title.
How to earn it
The road to the mount is a marathon of the server-wide Gates of Ahn'Qiraj event:
- Complete the Scepter of the Shifting Sands chain — a long line with raid and reputation stages.
- Within a limited window (about 10 hours after the gates open) ring the Scarab Gong at the Scarab Wall in Silithus.
- Receive the Scarab Lord title and the Black Qiraji Resonating Crystal that summons the mount.

Why it is so valued
